Matt's Visit to Saotome Sensei's Dojo in Florida

Matt traveled to Saotome Sensei's private dojo in Sarasota Florida in October 2007 for a weekend of advanced training. While there Saotome Sensei presented him with his yondan (4th dan) certificate.

 

Entrance to the dojo. The climate is so fair that walls are optional. Saotome Sensei is a gifted artist and designed the dojo. The details of the roof are typical of Shinto shrines.
